Six Flags Great America

I am already breaking my only rule of this blog - do not post events out of order!

However, I did not have time to post pictures of our recent trip to Washington, DC before other events took place so I am posting them out of order.

We took Owyn and Zoee to their first amusement park ever on Saturday, October 9th.  It was Six Flags Great America in Maryland.  We took the blue line to Largo and transferred to a bus that dropped us off at the front gate.
The highlight of the day for Owyn was a special area in the park called "Thomas Town".
The highlight for Jack was the Superman Rollercoaster.  Owyn discovered he measures at the "Sorry" level for riding on most of the roller coasters, but he found one in the Looney Toons section that he could ride on.  And he did. About a dozen times.
The highlight for Zoee was the giraffe on the merry-go-round.  She rode it four times, and she gave it a hug and a kiss before leaving after the final ride.
The highlight for me was no whining, no fighting, and the pure joy on everyone's face all day.

We were there right when they opened, and left at 7:30 pm.  They had a blast!
