Owyn's Dream Halloween Costume

Owyn is quite obsessed with the Chicago L trains (aka Chicago Trams).  He has nearly the entire subway system memorized, can tell you where you need to get off to transfer to another line, knows where the end of the line is for each color train, and is already planning ahead to be a "tram driver" when he is an adult. 

Needless to say, it was not really a surprise to us when Owyn decided quite some time ago that he wants to be the blue line to O'Hare for Halloween.  What we were not sure of was how we were going to come up with that costume and have it look authentic. 

Owyn, however, luckily has a genius Daddy!  They have been working together on his costume for a few days, and today added the final touches - lights, wheels, and suspenders.  It looks so great!
