Palamino Island

The hotel is right on the ocean with incredible views, but there is no beach access.  Even better than walking right out of your hotel room to the beach, they take you on a ferry to their private beach on Palamino Island. The beach is reserved for guests of the hotel so it's not overly crowded.  Although we didn't get a picture of any, the island has many iguanas and smaller lizards just wandering around.  Even though you know they are there, it's still startling when you see one! Even with the creatures crawling around, the island is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing.

We love this sign that reminds us of a similar
sign at Navy Pier, Chicago.

The obligatory toes-at-the-beach photo

We borrowed some sand toys and did some digging...

...and fort building.

Owyn got buried in the sand. He was full of sand
after busting out of it.

Then it was Zoee's turn.

We spent a great morning at the beach. I actually read my book for an hour while they all played! I think this will go down as one of Jack's more memorable Father's Days.
