Owyn is currently on the Celtics
basketball team through the Iowa City Recreation Department. He got his shirt last week and was so excited to get a GREEN shirt! Tonight was their first game. They play for about half the practice time against another team, and take turns rotating in and out. They also rotate the positions so that they all get a chance to pass, dribble, and shoot.
Owyn was thrilled that he scored the first basket for his team! The smile on his face was priceless! We were also very proud of his ability to hustle down the court.
After the game, Owyn said, "Dad, I made two points and my team won 6-2. They said they weren't keeping score but I did and we won!"
Way to go, Owyn!
