Sunday...The Long Good-Bye

We woke up early for a final day of play with the Deihl family, and then my children launched a protest because they didn't want to leave! 

Owyn crawled from the room and tried to hide.  Did he really think I would leave without him? 

Zoee actually sat still to have her hair french braided by Emma - she NEVER lets me do her hair! 

Owyn played more Wii and pillow fight game with Emma and Maizie. 

Zoee let Kiffin hold her, tickle her, talk to her, and even hug her. 

And Lori got more snuggling and book reading in while I packed.

What started as a fake, fun cry for Owyn turned into genuine tears that didn't stop until we had been in the car for several miles.  He had so much fun and can't wait to return sometime soon. 

Don't tell Chicago, but Owyn might be considering a new "favorite place".

Zoee's sadness was eased with a pink sucker.  And then she fell asleep.

Even a blue sucker could not console poor Owyn!

When we pulled in the garage at home, Zoee's first words were, "Want to go back to Emma and Maizie."
