We woke up bright and early on Zoee's birthday for a family tradition - birthday pancakes at Hamburg Inn! We put two candles on her pancake, sang her Happy Birthday, and let her open her presents from us. First she opened Owyn's present. Well, actually, she looked at her card that Owyn made and package that he wrapped, and then watched Owyn open it and play with her brand new "Leap Frog Laptop".
Next, Zoee had a present from Mommy and Daddy. This time she did get to rip off some of the paper before she watched Owyn play with her brand new Baby Stella doll. Eventually she got Baby Stella back and gave her a big hug and kiss. And she got to see her new clothes - a dress and skirt that Daddy picked out for her.
Finally, it was time to blow out her two pink candles on her pancake. Daddy lit the candles, Zoee looked at them a bit, and Owyn blew them out. Twice. Zoee did love her birthday breakfast, however, and ate her entire pancake and half a bowl of fruit! Yes, her brother ate the other half of the fruit. Of course.
