Jingle Cross Bike Races

Owyn felt well enough to participate in his first Jingle Cross Ride at the Johnson County Fairgrounds.  First, we watched Daddy ride in his race.  He got to go up and down a ramp, carry his bike up a hill, and ride through mud.

Then it was Owyn's turn.  It was a bit cold and windy, but he did it and finished, and was so happy that he got muddy too because then he got to use the hoses to clean his bike.

At the end of the race, every child got a stuffed toy from Build a Bear Workshop.  Owyn picked Clarice the Reindeer (from "Rudolph") and gave it to Zoee.  What a sweet big brother!! She calls it a kangaroo, but she also tells us that "O got me" - "Owyn got it for me" - with a big smile on her face.
