Chicago Weekend

We have been going to Chicago to celebrate Jack's birthday at Wrigley Field since Owyn was a baby, and this year is no different.  The Cubs do not play at home next weekend (the actual birthday), so we had to go to a game this weekend.  We went to a Friday game, and then spent the rest of Friday and all day Saturday riding the train, eating and visiting the Museum of Science and Industry.

Unfortunately, the Cubs lost, but it was fun day at the ballpark anyway.  I joked that we made it through 6 innings fairly peacefully because we had the following:  3 hot dogs, 2 suckers, skittles (Owyn), M&M's (Zoee), pretzels, animal crackers, peanuts, stickers, crayons, water bottles, binoculars, and 2 adult beverages.  And then Zoee fell asleep in the 7th inning and it was smooth sailing to the end of the game.

Owyn was so excited that we stayed in a hotel (Palmer House) in the Loop!
They found the safe in the closet and had fun pushing the buttons.

We sat in the bleachers and got lucky to get the back row with nobody sitting in front of us.

I love Mommy!

Zoee learned how to use binoculars.

Starting to get bored...

7th inning snooze!

Owyn was still going strong until the 9th

Hide and Seek back at the Palmer House.  HILARIOUS!
