Independence Day

We went to the annual 4th of July parade in Coralville this morning.  We were able to see and sit with some friends from our old play group, children who have been together since Owyn was about six months old. And we knocked another item off our Summer List:  #7 - "watch a parade".

Me:  Owyn, what was your favorite part of the parade?
Owyn:  Candy.  Getting all the stuff they threw out.
Me:  Zoee, what was your favorite part of the parade?
Zoee:  My favorite part was the treats.

Personally, I liked the horses.  And seeing friends who were IN the parade.  I guess we all have different goals for a parade.
