American Girl, Continued

When we went to the American Girl Fashion Show on Saturday, we bought five raffle tickets for some American Girl dolls and other items being given away after the final show.  I prepared Zoee for not winning, the odds were not in our favor after all. 

Well, we found out today that luck was on our side.  Out of the "laundry basket full of raffle tickets", according to the museum staff, our ticket was one of five drawn for prizes!  We picked up Zoee's brand new American Girl doll AND a horse today at the Children's Museum.  When the museum staff opened the box to show us, Zoee's first comment was, "No, I wanted the one with the blue dress and the bed."

Once we got her new doll home, however, she was pretty happy with the prize she did win.  She has decided to name her Alyssa.  The horse, however, is still nameless.  Zoee really likes brushing Alyssa's hair with the hair brush she came with.

I think they will get along just fine.
