Zoee was having so much fun on the large obstacle course at Winter Wonderfest today. She went in it several times in a row with Jack and Owyn, and then it was my turn to go with her. As we waited in line, we had the following conversation:
Zoee: Mom, I made a new friend!
Me: You made a new friend in here?
Zoee: Yes!
Me: Is it another little girl?
Zoee: Yes! She is a girl like me!
Me: Do you know her name?
Zoee: No, but she is my friend.
Me: That's great, Zoee!
We headed into the inflatable obstacle course. She told me when to help her and what she could do by herself. She told me what area was her "favorite part". And when we got to the back of the course, just before the steps to the "big slide", she introduced me to her new friend. Her name is Vanessa, and she is the woman who works at Winter Wonderfest monitoring the backside of the obstacle course.
Zoee: Mommy, this is my friend!
Vanessa: Hi, Zoee! You brought Mommy this time? Show her how good you climb!
Zoee: See Mommy, she is my friend!
I hope that Zoee always makes friends so easily. And I hope she is always so excited to introduce all of her friends to her Mommy in the future.
