Mommy's Turn

On the way home from Idaho in June, I made a decision to get back to running. As I put it to Jack that day in the car, after watching him train and compete for the past six years, "it's my turn now".

I am getting my turn now as I train for the Monster Dash Half Marathon in Chicago on Oct. 29th. 

My last event was an 8K on July 4, 2005 when I was eleven weeks pregnant with Owyn.  Owyn and Zoee have never seen their Mommy do anything athletic other than ride a bike around town, so I am excited to wave to them as they watch from the crowd.  With any luck, they will wave back and yell for me as I pass by them.

And I hope they will be proud of their Mommy too.
