Ho Ho Ho!

We finally made it out to see Santa today at the Sycamore Mall.  Owyn was wearing his shirt with the Chicago Subway map on it, and Santa asked him lots of questions about it.  He asked Owyn if he has ridden on the subway, and Owyn responded, "almost all of them."  And that is true.  He pointed out the pink line to Santa and said that is the only one he hasn't ridden. 

Owyn took his Toys R Us toy magazine so that he could show Santa what he would like to have for Christmas.  Owyn has had this magazine on his dresser since early October so that he could show Santa the Toy Story 3 Landfill by Imaginext that he has been dreaming of and staring at longingly since he first discovered it early this fall. 

Owyn seemed very shy when he first approached Santa, and he wouldn't sit on his lap, but he did talk to him a bit after we had been there for a few minutes.

Zoee, on the other hand, would not even approach Santa until Owyn had been talking to him for at least five minutes.  And then she hid behind my leg until I picked her up.  I asked her what she would like Santa to bring her for Christmas and she whispered, "nem-a-nems".  That's M&M's.  All she wants for Christmas is M&M's.  However, she thought she was going to get them RIGHT NOW and cried as we left because he didn't actually give her any.  She did finally sit on my lap near Santa so that we could get a picture.
