Monday was a fun-filled day in Chicago! We started with breakfast at my favorite stop, Einstein Bagel, and then Jack and Owyn headed out to their next adventure on the El - a double "summit" of the green line! They had been to Harlem on a previous trip so this time they went to 63rd/Ashland and Cottage Grove so that they could say they have been to all three ends of the Green line. Yes, there are three, I don't undertand it but Owyn can tell you about "the cuts".
While the boys rode the Green Line, Zoee and I wandered around Macy's and Water Tower and did a little Christmas shopping. We spent a little time in the American Girl store looking at all the Bitty Babies and their accessories. My baby girl is a big fan of baby dolls, and I could tell she was in love with all that she saw around her. Many times I heard these words come out of her mouth, "Oh Mom, want this!" I am sure this will be a destination for us to return to in the near future.
The girls and boys met at Navy Pier around 12:30 so that we could check out something called "Winter Wonderfest". We weren't sure what it would be, but what we found was "170,000 square feet of indoor holiday family fun", and yes it was fun! They had rides, bounce houses, inflatable obstacle courses, a train, and it was all inside out of the cold. We bought wrist bands that allowed us to ride whatever rides we wanted as many times as we wanted, and spent 4 1/2 hours doing just that!

Owyn's commentary:
"On the blue and white obstacle course, Zoee needed Daddy's help in the squeeze trick."
"My favorite part was both obstacle courses and the flying trick with Daddy."
Me: Zoee, what was your favorite part of the Winter Wonderfest?
Zoee: Train!
