Dan Wardell's Reading Road Trip

Owyn has been waiting all summer for Dan Wardell's Reading Road Trip to come to our town.  He has been watching the list of stops each week on Iowa Public Television, and was so excited when he finally read "Iowa City" on the screen.

Jack took both kids today, but Zoee changed her mind as soon as she saw Dan Wardell.  He was wearing a cape. And he was very happy and loud.  And Owyn found a spot in the front row.  And it was 1:30 and Zoee needed a nap.  All of those factors combined led to me getting a phone call to pick her up and take her home.

Owyn, however, loved being in the front row watching the action.
