Zoee wanted to go for a hike with Jack last night, but she fell asleep on the way home from Cedar Rapids and never got the chance. This morning, after taking Owyn to school, Jack had some time before he had to be to the airport so it was time for that hike.
Zoee was so excited! She had to take a backpack, as all good hikers do. Inside her backpack, she put some goldfish crackers, a water bottle, her new Merida (from "Brave") doll, and her stuffed dog. They headed over to Hickory Hill Park to take in a hike and view nature.
I heard they had a great time! They saw a squirrel, some birds, and purple flowers. Jack said they walked down the trail a bit, had a snack, and then continued on the trail. Zoee talked about it all day and can't wait to do it again soon!
