Right after posting about Zoee's birthday, I realized we have exceeded our space limits for photos on our blog. Since photos are the majority of our blog posts, and the part our family loves most about the blog, we haven't done any posts since.
We are trying to determine what our next steps should be, but the holiday hustle and bustle has gotten in the way of our progress. But the blog will be back!
Here are some of our latest happenings:
We spent Thanksgiving with Bert, Randy, and Ethan in the morning. Then we had lunch with my mom in the afternoon. Our Christmas decorations were out immediately over the weekend, and we returned to Handley's tree farm in Solon to find the perfect Blue Spruce Christmas tree.
Owyn was involved in youth wrestling again this year at Regina. He competed in one tournament in December in which he earned a medal to add to his growing collection. He also played basketball through a rec league on Monday evenings. We noticed that he was much better at dribbling this year, and he even scored a couple baskets for his team, the Knicks.
Zoee participated in her first Christmas Program at school on Dec. 13th. She sang and danced every song, and we loved every minute of it!
Owyn also had a Christmas Program at school on Dec. 6th. He and the other 1st grade students sang 3 songs and did a great job!
Zoee took dance class again this fall and got to show off her moves to us at the last session. She really enjoyed dance with her teacher, Kate, and can't wait to join a new class in the spring.
Owyn finally got hit with one of the many illnesses traveling through his school. We are thankful it was brief, 3ish days with a fever, and hope that the rest of us don't get it!
The kids have school this week and then will be off for two weeks over Christmas break. They are looking forward to going to some museums, playing with some friends, and hopefully enjoying some new toys.
We will be taking our annual trip to Chicago just before Christmas. Owyn and Zoee are excited to see the train display at Hancock Tower, play at Winter Wonderfest, and hopefully ride the holiday train.
We hope to have the blog up and running before 2012 ends, but I am making no promises!!
